About

Founded in 1912. Restored in 2024.

My grandmother opened Marigold Stationers on Bull Street in Savannah when the city still smelled like cotton and salt. For nearly a century, the Vandercook and Chandler & Price presses ran daily. Letterpress, engraving, the kind of printing where you can feel every letter with your fingertip.

She closed the shop in 2008 and the presses went to storage. In 2024, I bought them back at auction, brought Hattie Jordan out of retirement to help me restore them, and reopened the studio. Same iron, same craft, same belief that some things are worth doing slowly.
